The Steel Rail Half Marathon/8K will take place on May 21, 2017.
Race start time will be 9:30 AM for the Half and 10:00 AM for the 8K
LIMITED TO FIRST 750 registered runners for the Half and 200 registered runners for the 8K.
NO REFUNDS/DEFERMENTS you may transfer your registration to another runner.  You may transfer down from the Half to the 8K with no refund in price difference as long there is still room in the 200 runner cap for the 8K.
Technical Short Sleeve Shirts GUARANTEED to everyone registered by April 16,  2017.  After that date sizes will be first come first served and quantities will run out!  Shirts are NOT GUARANTEED to runners who register after April 16.

Registration Fees are:

    $60.00 (Half)/$30.00 (8K)* by February 28, 2017
    $70.00 (Half)/$35.00 (8K)* from March 1 thru April 30, 2017
    $80.00 (Half)/$40.00 (8K)* from May 1 thru May 19, 2017

This 13.1 mile scenic run begins at the Berkshire Mall in Lanesboro, MA; Rt. 8 and finishes at the Visitor Center in Adams, MA.  Bus transportation will be provided to bring participants back to the Berkshire Mall following the Awards Ceremony.  All parking will be at the Berkshire Mall (JC Penny parking lot).  The 8K starts at the 8K from finish of the Half Marathon and follows the same course to the same finish line.  Parking for the 8K will be at the Cheshire Elementary School, Cheshire Town Garage, Other Cheshire Public Parking on Main St.

For both the Half and 8K: Custom medals to all finishers.  1 Free Steel Rail Pale Ale from Berkshire Brewing Company at the race finish. (must have ID and be 21+)  1 food ticket ($3) value for food vendors at the finish party, in addition to standard post race fuel provided by the SRHM.  Free LIVE music at the finish line!

Water stations located at approximately every 2 miles (6 stations on the course).  Stations closest to mile 6,8,10 and 12 will also have a sport drink mixture as well as water.  Sports drink will either be GU brew or Gatorade Endurance formula.

A bus will be at the start line to transport your belonging to the finish line.  The bus will have a volunteer race staff on it at all times but BRC and the SRHM are not responsible for lost or stolen items.  The bus will be located approximately 1/10th of a mile from the actual finish line of the race.  Busses will be provided to bring participants back to the parking locations after the awards ceremony.

Half Marathon Prizes: Overall Male and Female 1st Place=$500, 2nd Place=$300, 3rd Place=$150.

Race Packet Pick up will be at Berkshire Running Center, 34 Depot Street Pittsfield,  MA 01201 on Friday May 19 form 10AM-6PM and Saturday May 20 from 10 AM until 5 PM. Day of race packet pick up will be at the Berkshire Mall from 7 AM-8:45 AM (Half), Main St., Cheshire Ashuwillticook Rail Trail Trail Head (by the plow) 8:30-9:30 AM. Please pick up early if possible!

Race proceeds will go to maintenance and expansion of the DCR’s Ashuwillticook Rail Trail.  Thanks to our Sponsors and participants we have donated $33,000 to be used for maintenance and repair of the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail in our first 4 years!
